NEW RNLI STATION - MUMBLES SWANSEA

NEW RNLI STATION - MUMBLES SWANSEA

August 2012 saw works underway to construct the new RNLI boathouse at Mumbles, Wales, before the station receives their modern new lifeboat. The £2.7M lifeboat has been funded by the Roy Barker Memorial Fund and will be named RNLB Roy Barker IV. The Mumbles’ Tamar is expected to arrive once the boathouse has been built. The current plan is for the completion of the new slipway station in October of next year.

KML's landing craft "Severn Sins" has been chartered by BAM Nuttall (contractors to RNLI) to transport the supply of materials and equipment to and from the works from APB Swansea for the duration of this contract.

KML is very excited to be working on this project and assisting the build of such a vital RNLI station.
