This is a dynamic position for a highly motivated, adaptable and resourceful individual with strong accounting and administration experience.
You will need to be good at working under pressure and to tight deadlines. Experience of the commercial marine/transport/construction sector and of national logistics planning would be an advantage but not essential. Applicants should also be practically minded with a commercial sense, have good communication and organisational skills and be capable of client liaison.
The position will be largely Cornwall based, but the individual must be willing to travel if necessary.
Duties to include
- Commercial Book Keeping and financials where overall accuracy is essential - to include data entry, supplier payments, bank reconciliations etc. Sage experience advantageous.
- Log daily activities & calls, deal with client enquiries. Liaise with staff, sub-contractors, suppliers, sites and clients efficiently & effectively
- Document Production and Report Formatting using a range of software & techniques
- HR assistance and elements of payroll
- Produce regular and ad hoc reports to support various on-going projects and processes.
- Provide additional administrative support, including expenses, purchase orders, filing, data management etc.
Desirable attributes:
- Highly competent in the use of Sage including projects and departments
- Strong IT skills specifically in Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Attention to detail and analytical skills.
