SALVAGE OF LOUISA - MINGULAY

KML, working for the Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB), has successfully salvaged fishing vessel Louisa. The  15m casualty sank off Mingulay in the Outer Hebrides and was, after dive inspections and lift preparations, raised by KML’s heavy lift crane barge BD6072.  Thereafter Louisa was transported on deck of the BD6072 and lifted ashore at Clydebank for further investigations by the MAIB.
