Tender for The Supply of Construction Works - Construction Workers, Plant & Materials15th June 2023
Tender for The Supply of Construction Works - Construction Workers, Plant & Materials Keynvor Morlift Ltd (KML) invites all suitable companies to tender for a call-off contract for the supply of Construction Works - Construction Workers, Plant & Materials for their Falmouth Wharves Marine Hub Project. This project, which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, will deliver flexible industrial workspace as well as improved marine facilities, creating a unique asset for the Southwest. It includes the refurbishment and fit-out of four existing buildings on site. The role of the supplier under this contract will be to provide workers across the construction trades to support the refurbishment and repair works on site. These works will include the renovation of commercial buildings, improvements to the site’s external spaces and repairs to the piled wharf structure. You will be required to supply multi skilled workers with experience of working on commercial construction projects. They will be required to have relevant construction site qualifications, trades certificates and where necessary experience of working in the marine construction and civil engineering industry. Examples of the types of skilled workers that will be required are as follows:
Examples of plant/machinery that will be required are as follows:
Some materials may be required, however key items will be purchased by KML (i.e. windows and doors). If we do require additional materials to be supplied, we would prefer this on a cost + basis. Tenderers are required to confirm if this is acceptable and state the cost + percentage that would apply. This project is a major construction project taking place at a busy commercial wharf so some scopes of work may need to occur at short notice to fit around wharf operations. Therefore, it will be important that your company has the flexibility to be able to supply workers in response to tight notice periods. Notice periods may be 4 hours or less, seven days per week. This also means that working hours may vary depending on the nature of the work happening on-site at the time and could include longer hours and weekend working, especially when the marine elements of the project are taking place which can be determined by tidal conditions. The place of work will be Falmouth Wharves, in Falmouth. The contract is expected to start in June 2023 and run until September 2023. Closing date and time is 12:00 on Monday 3rd July 2023 Tender documents can be obtained from Craig Pullen, Procurement Consultant by email request to craig@cpconsulting.org.uk |
